Festival of Church Music 2015
The second (biannual) “FESTIVAL OF CHURCH MUSIC” was presented in Charlotte, NC, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, sponsored by CMI, on Sunday Evening, February 22, 2015. Dr. Eric Nelson, conducted the ecumenical choir of over 200 voices, accompanied by Susan Talley, Organist, Robert Frazier, Pianist, and the Matthews Brass. Liturgist, the Rev. Dr. Paul Westermeyer, delivered brief mediations during the service based on the liturgical year. The program consisted of anthems and hymns ranging from “Worthy is the Lamb” and “Amen” from Handel’s Messiah, to Gilbert Martin’s “When I Survey The Wondrous Cross” and Moses Hogan’s “Ride On! King Jesus.”
